Projects

Small things I have built outside of work, newest first. Each one gets the month it appeared and an honest note on why it exists. Most started as a question I could not answer without building something.

August 2026 Live beta

Word Remix

A word game. One long word, and as many smaller words as you can pull out of it.

A game night idea, vibe coded into something you can open on a phone. There is a daily word that everyone gets, a random word for practising as long as you like, and a head to head race if you want to beat a specific friend. You can play the whole thing without an account. It is a beta, made for fun and shared for fun.

Why it exists: a small, complete thing I could take from idea to live site, and a good way to find out what AI assisted building is genuinely good at.

Books in low-resource languages

Using AI translation to grow the pool of things people can actually read in their own language.

Taking openly licensed texts, translating them with models, then working out where a human has to step in and fix what the model got wrong. The output is books. The by-product is parallel text, which is exactly what these languages are short of.

Why it exists: children learn to read fastest in the language they think in, and for a lot of them there is very little printed in it. This will not fix that on its own, but it makes the job small enough for one person to start.

No public link yet. When there is something worth opening, it will appear here.

More to come

This list grows slowly and on purpose. If something here is useful, or broken, or you have an idea for the next one, I would like to hear it.
